Motion Animation
Born A Girl, Lives a Boy
“A motion graphic animation about a person who is looking back on how they discovering their gender through the passage of age”
CONCEPT
This animation is about a Tran-Male looking back on their journey of acceptance and coming to terms that they are able to come of the closet due to the support of others. The main idea was that the character was reflecting on their past, ex. Instead of walking left to right like how the flow of time is moving forward, the character seems to be walking right to left, which indicates going back in time. The idea behind this is that in this generation we as a society have started to accept change, but also looking at how not everyone is moving forward with the idea. The smoke in one of the scene indicated the coming of change, the transitioning of the character and that their past may come back, they are able to look forwards as long as they have support.
OPPORTUNITY
To address a social issue in the LGBTQ community, that most LGBTQ people will face, terms of "Coming Out" and the aspect of gaining support and acceptance from friends and families.
PRODUCT
The final product is a short motion graphics animation of a walking sequence.
